Message: <blockquote data-quote="Duncan Haldane" data-source="post: 1023531" data-attributes="member: 514">Hi Angelsboi,I'm really sorry to hear that you are going through this experience.I know you said in your original thread about this that you knew who infected you, but how long ago did this happen?When I was doing a coming out course in the early 90s, before the cocktail, there was a guy who came to talk to us about AIDS who had been positive at that point for 8 years.  Pretty much since it started getting noticed.He had a T cell count of One.  He'd given his T cell a name.But he lived a very healthy lifestyle, and he said that he felt healthier than he ever had in his life (possibly because his t cells weren't accidently killing good entities).He also said that through his illness he had made many new friends, had found out much more about himself, what he wanted from life, etc.  He said that he'd been happier since he'd had AIDS than any time in his life before it.Strange, I know, but  he'd re-evaluated what he wanted and needed from life, and focused his energies into those things. Have hope, be strong and be safe.  You have lots of people who love you, including many here in cyber-space.  You have your faith, and most importantly you have yourself.  You have shown us time and again that you have so much strength and belief in  yourself.  You have fought hard to be who you are, and to not let others bring you down.  This is just another part of the fight.AIDS is no longer a death sentence.  You will get this under control, and then it will become a part of your life, rather than being all of your life which I'm sure it seems at the moment.*hugs*Duncan</blockquote>
