Back.. after a long wait. As I now have an entire 1 reader, I desire to update once again :D Plot Details for TDRandall: The original characters were testers for this homebrew world of mine - Which isn't the Conan world I might add, though perhaps it has a lot of real-world influences as Conan does. Aravillar's player decided he didn't like his character and could not show for some time for various reasons. I thought a spoooky death would suffice. It took care of Aravillar quite easily; an effective failed Fear save left him trembling and wetting himself and Calcryx can if it wishes evoke a Silence spell - as Aravillar was the only one on watch he was left for the characters to be frightened of. And yes, All unknowns are 'demons', often with different mythologies depending on the church telling you about them. In effect, they are the baser emotions anthropormophised; Calcryx is the fear of a cold and lonely death. Later they face Pazuzu, the demon of greed and corruption - Just as they come into treasure. :D As well as the average snake cults to Set or what have you. Calcryx, the Cold Fear - Effectively he was a CR 2ish monster, whatever a wyrmling white dragon is. However, he had extra powers - Silence: 1/day Illusionary Terrain: Always, though only artic conditions. Belief means you treat it as real and can in effect die to cold that isn't there. Calcryx can not turn this off; he is the fear of cold, lonely death driven to utter insanity after a millenia. The Glutton of Fear: Calcryx feeds on fear. He gains sustenance not through eating but the fear of a cold and lonely death - the more the characters run, began to be scared, and so on - the more Calcryx begins to take shape. While slain, he will reform eventually in the mountains of the north.
