I posted a short article on creating memorable story arcs in the Original Greyhawk and Kalibruhn campaigns and with my age-old villain, the evil wizard Zayene, as the focus. Created in 1973 he still "lives" today and even has an unpublished short story written on him, The Jungle Temple. I am still developing his history after all these years, which gives a hint to his longevity and purpose being way extra-normal.
