Mentioning other users

I apologize in advance for what Is surely a very dumb question, but how do I mention other users in my posts? The FAQ says to either put a @ in front of the user name or to wrap @Morrus; around the name, but neither seem to work. What am I missing?

The former should work. Like this: [MENTION=7993]Nikosandros[/MENTION]

OK, it works. My problem was that the mention doesn't appear in the preview and so I thought that it wasn't working. Thanks.
