[QUOTE="Mystic Eye, post: 267173, member: 711"] <<SO what do publishers and players think of the various things happening in the D20 community? I like the fact that Mystic Eye has it's Internet partners, Ambient and Natural D20, but don't know too much about how it'll affect Bluffside since that's an ownership issue.>> Joe, My concept with the current version of Mystic Eye Games is three fold, First, to continue to enhance our own product line (HROE, Arcane Mysteries, Foul Locales, and others) as well as deversify (Giant Monster Rampage) and build a strong multi-channel opportunity (Hobby Trade, book trade and eventually mass market), Second is to bring great porducts to the print market that otherwise may not make it by parntering with the creators as an imprint, and third, is to continue the consolidation and expansion that has started with TG. Of course the later two will all benefit from the impacts of the first part. One of the reasons I choose the parnters I do is that they produce an outstanding product. In every case I have spent time being able to watch and evaluate the potential success with these e-publihsers (Ambient Inc, Natural 20 Press, and now Vigilance Press) as well as the buy out of the Thinderhead Games property. Of utmost importance to me is to NOT recreate these products and partners in my own image but rather to offer their diverse views and styles. When I work with a partner I try to look at additional marketing value but give little or no direction in the writing and style of the product. Itself. It need to carry itself on its own merrits without the MEG spin placed on it. I guess the point is that the TG line will not change, the imprint partner products may be beefed up but won't be altered by us, etc. I just want to put you at ease that these product will not be changed.
