I don't know if I still have a job or not. Last night, I called work to check on what I'm scheduled to work for next week. I found out that I wasn't listed on the schedule at all. The guy I talked to called me back a few minutes later. He was rather apologetic, saying that he'd been told not to say anything, but one of the supervisors had been pissed because of something I wrote on my paperwork the last time I'd worked. So today, I call back in order to get a hold of the first shift supervisor (who does the scheduling), and after some phone tag, I get through to him. Supervisor mentioned the last time I'd worked (the 10th), and brought up my report... On the 10th, I did an outside round, as usual, and missed some points due to ignorance of their location. The guy I'd been working with that night pointed out these locations, and I hit them during my second round (we carry around a reader that registers various "Tiscor" buttons when you touch the sensor to the button. It records the time and the location of each point, so they have a record of when you were on each part of your rounds). Apparently, the site supervisor read "missed some points due to ignorance of their location" as a criticism of his choices in placing the buttons. Not as "I missed some points because I didn't know where they were." After talking about this, the supervisor said he'd adjust things on the schedule (implying that I'll still be working there next week) and that he'd look over it with the site supervisor and get back to me (implying that I might NOT be working there next week if the site supervisor remains pissed). Ugh. Calling in to get this figured out was unhelpful. I'm still kind of up in the air :( Merry f****n' Christmas to me!
