Mialee's FASHION PLATE MAIL #1

Mialee

First Post
Hello, my devoted fans~
This is your old pal Mialee, iconic elven wizard and all-around pop culture sensation. Just letting you know that my new RPG fashion article (who says there's nothing new to be done in the industry?) is up. Read it here!

In the article, I lace into a few well-deserving covers from that herald of what RP'ing is REALLY all about: Avalanche Press.

Enjoy.

Hi Mialee,

I'd agree with you that the outfits are not entirely realistic, but one could say the same about the cloathes WOTC has issued to us Iconics. Hennet for example...

Its funny the poses the artists gets these girls to do... but then again- have you seen the giant tin cans that the guys have to wear. i gues sthe only person who got off easy was vadania, who can wear animal skin- comfy and concealing... Then again, there is Ember (monk) who has the ocnfortable monk's outfit.

I'd hate to be redgar or Jozan- they have like 50 pounds of metal to lug around- and that is not considering their sword and shields and other goodies...

Not this again... I have seen this complained about so many times. Who cares? I've seen just as many ridiculous pictures of male adventurers in incredibly impractical and foolish outfits in fantasy pictures as women. Often, they are wearing nothing more than a loincloth. So what? Why does it even matter? I just don't see the point.

Right on, KidCthulhu.
We, the ladies of gaming, have to present an appropriate face for our more dominant (in numbers ONLY) counterparts. We should let it be known that this type of treatment of women is unacceptable.

MasterOfHeaven, go gnaw on a bone in some cave, wrapped in bear pelts, all right? Your neanderthals' views on women are sick. Go buy another Baywatch calendar and stay OUT OF MY THREAD.

Pig.

Certainly you could do some equal opportunity reviews of the ridiculous outfits of male fantasy art. Just to prove that not everyone is as fabulously well dressed as I am. And someone really should talk to Hennet about the buckles. He's a Heat Metal waiting to happen.
