It is indeed. It was nice to see the Elfstar pic! :)

For reference, this is an article about BADD and the various accusations against D&D over the years.

to me i always thot of the Pulling report as the exact same tactic as used by BADD.

calling into question Pat's motives and committment was never an issue for me. still doesn't mean i agreed with her or her sycophants.

i just wanted to play and not be pestered by BADD.

Unfortunately the best way to deal with people of that nature is to show them to be hypocrites in front of the public eye, as they're mostly about trying to sway public opinion to begin with.

It would be nice if they could just be ignored, but they tend to try to get things banned outright or used as an excuse to start stealing stuff from our homes for burning or causing people harm.

Funny thing, this witch hunting thingie. There was a thread a couple of months ago 'bout it, and apparently people still get harassed about playing Satan's game and other such nonsense. I have a suspicion it's a lot more common in the States. At least, I've never heard about it in Europe, 'though I could be wrong. Anyone else got a similar impression ?(and no, I don't wanna start a flamewar against or for the USA here , thank you very much, well, at least not on this forum. I allways appreciate a good hatemail though, if you feel so inclined. Just use the maillink from enworld. Cheers)

I like the art they selected to go with that article, though -- a lot of really dark, fiendish Planescape covers to play up the Satanism angle. ;)

I've never heard of it happening recently here, either. It wouldn't suprise me to learn that it does, but I think people have gotten the message that D&D doesn't turn kids into satanists. I mean, Rifts, sure. But not D&D.
