Chapter I Page Five Torak – The orc ducked beneath the wide swing from the pirate and held his vardatch aloft to counter the follow-up strike. The longsword wielded by the pirate caught on a serrated pocket in the vardatch. With a bloodthirsty grin, the orc slowly twisted his vardatch. The pirate could do little but widen his eyes as his longsword began to twist from his grasp and the orc beared down upon him. "Now, pig, your life is forefit." The orc, having forgotten about the chained one while pressing the attack, turned his head to see Torak swipe at him with the vardatch of the fallen orc. He backpedaled, avoiding the slash, but the pirate now had his longsword freed, as well as an opening. The sword sliding smoothly from the vardatch, the pirate twirled his weapon and brought it down directly into the orc’s chest. It thrust through the other side, the tip hitting the planks of the ship moments before the body slid down the blade.
OOC: Nice, just barely. Abdiel and Methuselas – Methuselas heard nothing besides the waning of the raging battle above as the young Erenlander broke through his chains in one hit. No more orcs entered the hold, although several small trickles of blood now oozed from the planks above. Abdiel made his way through the cramped spaces of the hold, reaching the narrow stairwell that would lead them to the sun and the wind. Groans and cries for help covered the noise of his dangling chains. Hands reached out for him, skeletal hands tugging on his arm, grasping ineffectually at his chains. He made his way up the stairs until his head was level with the ship deck.
