"The spell I'll cast often confuses an enemy for a short time, allowing an escape or better attack, depending on which is most prudent. He places his hands on the stone and almost instantly a dull purplish glow suffuses it. The glow remains when he withdraws his hands and he says, "Touch the stone, and try to look into it. It's hard to explain, but you'll feel what you need to do to cast the spell. It may not make sense at first, but we have some time tonight to work on it."</p></blockquote><p></p>
