I was a big fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. As a result I own seasons 1-5 of the show. Anyone else out there who was a fan knows that there are 7 seasons of Buffy. Why dont I have the final two? Because I didnt think that they were worth purchasing. I watched them on TV and other than a few good episodes between seasons 6-7 I thought that overall those two seasons were weak as hell. That's the difference. With the DVD's I've already seen what I'm getting. While that's not the case for everyone who buys DVD's of thier favorite shows I'm pretty certain that it's the case for most. You know fans of the genre being fans of the genre and all... Also if I were the creative director of a genre show the last thing that I'd want is a bunch of slathering fans telling me how to run the show and thinking that they had a right to do so because they paid for the season. As much as I didnt like the last 2 seasons of Buffy, it was FOX's and Whedon's baby to do with as they pleased. You think reality TV is Bad? Fan Sponsored Genre shows will be even worse. I hope to GOD that this fails...
