Set aside for a moment the question of the show's quality (or really that of the franchise in general). Even for a show you like, is it healthy to be so attached to it?Comparing it to other commercial transactions is misleading. A rational consumer would not pledge a dime on this venture unless they were atleast semi-sure that that contribution would result in a new season going to production. To feel a pressing obligation to do otherwise tells me something much more weird is at work in certain minds.
