Well, it had to be asked if you've played it...you'd be amazed how many offer opinions just reading the books without any experience. :) Nope. And I'm not light on encounters or the toughness of them. In fact, I'm downright evil. But players still mow through the mooks. I could kick some of my PCs into here if you'd like their opinions on it, but the only time things start getting very heated for them is when they're up against the tough enemies. i.e. For my all Jedi game here on ENWorld, the only thing that's really brought them all down to WP damage after a whole bunch of encounters with war droids is a group of Sith Apprentices and an actual Sith. But they ended up taking out 10 more War Droids after that encounter while taking maybe one hit. And that's just one game. The Rebel Alliance game has been mowing through Stormtroopers left and right. The Imperial game through Rebels(though they got outnumbered and a couple crits put two of them in serious danger). Etc, etc. All different groups of players, and fairly different atmospheres and styles of encounters for each game. But everytime, the mooks get eaten up. Part of it is probably good tactics. Using feats/cover/etc to max ability, and using the stun setting when they're really outnumbered to lower the number of immediate threats.
