Minotaurs and Massive

Mearlin

First Post
I have a minotaur character who took the Massive feat in the Quintessential fighter book (I know, I know, but the damage has been done). I know the minotaur's strength bonus from size is already figured into his advancement in Savage Species. It seems, though, that the Massive feat should also give the benefits for size increases. (Otherwise you end up with a huge creature that can't seem to outmuscle a similar creature of large size.) My DM disagrees, and I wanted a second opinion.

You're not "advancing" to Huge, so you don't get "advancement" bonuses.

You get the effects of being Huge, but not the effects of becoming Huge.

Your DM was on here a while back, I'm guessing, unless there's another Savage Species Minotaur twisting the Massive feat beyond all recognition out there, and we told him the same thing :)

I can't find the Massive feat. Are there multiple printings?

I thought it was from Swashbuckling Adventures?

I don't have either, so I could be completely wrong :)

(Third Party products? In Auckland?)

There is a feat in Swashbuckling Adventures called Giant that adds +5 ft to your reach, +1 to attack and damage, and your size modifiers act as one size larger than normal. It has a pereqequisite feat Brawny (D2 2/- and +1 Intimidate) and can only be taken at first level. So unless you have a free racial bonus feat (like humans) you can't take it.

So, does anybody have a clue as to where this Massive feat is? I've check the Feats section and Fighting Styles section of Quint. Fighter, but no luck.

IMHO it's not in the Quint Barbarian or any other of that series.... At least not in one that I have ( I don't have the races and the monk book).
