[QUOTE="Shayuri, post: 4592137, member: 4936"] Alright...here's what I'm coming up with so far: Japanese (possibly not -from- Japan though) girl with photokinetic and telekinetic powers who was once the flamboyant and perversely popular thief "Kitsune." She got nabbed finally, did some time and was released, and is using this show as an attempt to make a new name for herself. I was thinking she might anger the producers by constantly cutting deals with corporations on the side to feature their products on the show. Powers: - Can Turn Invisible (possibly with some limits). - Can create areas of light and darkness. - Can sculpt ambient light into detailed and realistic illusions. In conjunction with a minor telekinesis power to vibrate air or manipulate small objects, these illusions can make noise and even appear to have substance. - Can focus ambient light into blinding flashes, or even lasers. Or! Kadru, from India (though again, she could easily be British Indian or similar), a mentalist with empathic and telepathic abilities, as well as some enhanced physical powers. Kadru made the cut from behind the scenes connections as well as a promise (perhaps backed up by her powers) to act as a sort of "force multiplier for drama." Kadru has no criminal record, but is not really a 'hero' either...instead using her abilities to further her position in the corporate ladder and secure worldly wealth and power. Powers: - Extraordinarily agile and limber. - Mind reading, mental communication, and the power to influence dreams. - Can use telepathy to manipulate emotions. - Knowledgeable in and fond of, poisons. ----------- Both characters are intelligent, relatively "straight" sorts to contrast a bit with the zaniness of some of the other concepts. Kitsune has a big contrast between her ebullient and borderline stereotypical 'performing' personality and the much more cynical, cutting personality she evokes when not explicitly in front of the camera. Either way, she has an impish love of making others look foolish. Kadru is quiet and imperturbable and sinister in almost every way. Even relatively innocent things she says tend to be phrased in terms and tones that make them sound ominous and full of vague menace. More calculating than Kitsune, less concerned about her image. ---------- I'll try to decide on one tonight when I get some stats going and see how they work. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome!
