Velmont, except for some story problems, its fine. Just one or two things about that stats to discuss. Samir is between 5 and 7 when the Bomb goes off starting the war, so it is very very very highly unlikely that he would be trained as a soldier, a message runner, an ammo carrier, or something of that ilk is a little more plausible. Accompanying a group of soldiers is fine, and it works as to not getting infected, however, The plague didn't come around until the third year of the war. So he would be between 8 and 10 at the time the plague came around. Its then another 2 years until the Vaccine is perfected, so that would make him between 10 and 12. One other thing, The vaccine did not leave the United States, everyone who was vaccinated was vaccinated in Washington DC. The people who were vaccinated first, the survivors in the United States, then went about finding groups of other survivors and bringing them to hope, starting in North America and then working outward eventually getting to Australlia last. Schooling is not optional, all students would attend to a minimum if 16, but if they so chose, they were able to work part time, searching through cities that were near for resources to be used to fuel the building of Hope. Farming was not too terribbly a critical need actually. Looking at current farm technology, the process can be run by a very small amount of people relying heavily on machines. The process is mostly automated. You can choose to be one of the human helpers on a farm, that would work. I'd just like to reiterate that the Benchmarks PDF is the guide that we are going by for our Stats as it gives us all the same exact idea of what certain numbers mean. Looking at the listing, we learn that a BAB of 4 is about that of a very experienced soldier, (incidentally, thats more then the soldiers in this campaign), so it is a bit too high for a 15 year-old, a BAB of 2 would be about right for the background you describe. I would suggest against the permanent flaw to your energy field, as it will be a very real hinderance, but if your willing to put up with that, and believe me, it will be a doozy of a flaw if its going to be permanently on, it'll be more of a hinderance then a help, I'd suggest dropping your BAB to 2 and using those 6pp to buy off that flaw, the rest of your character is fine, more then fine. One or two skills are not what I would have picked, but the reasoning behind them is sound, so its fine, and I must say I like the character, have a piece of pie.
