He was also fortunate in that the first people he met were inclined to assist him, showing that good people can be found anywhere, even in the District. With their help, he was able to establish an identity for himself as Karl Svenson, with a background in mining that got him a job. He was also able to convert the gold coins that the wizard was using to buy guns into a tidy sum of cash.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Over the next several months, "Karl" settled into his new life in Wellington Heights, his armor and hammer stored in his closet.
