With the right figure, I paid closer attention and followed the instructions which resulted in much more stability. The clay is not very malleable unless it's wet so I've had some issues, but it's not bad to practise on. Either tomorrow or the day after, I should have my Sculpey and be able to make some more pieces that should look like my character.
