It's not precisely what you are looking for, but Glen Cook has the Garret novels. Which are essentially hard-boiled, Film-Noir detective stories set in a fantasy world. They are a terrific series.Of course the later Diskworld books have a Fantasy-world pasted over the modern (or more accurately modernizing) world, structure as well.</blockquote>
