[how about human who inexplicably ages 3 times faster than others / forced to mature before he's ready, but with a heart 3 times as big] I love the seemingly mundane stories where there is something magical/mysterious/disturbing going on just a little deeper.  I love the games where we run our DM ragged; not because he was ill prepared, but because we decided our own ideas were far more fun. ["It's such a BIG orc encampment. I'm sure no one would miss a few orc children. Then we could raise them to not be evil!"] I love it when I can look around the room and know that sitting around playing D&D has lead to real friendships. </blockquote>
