Hi guys,

There have been a lot of people waiting for this book! However, the Road of Kings, the 192 page full colour hardback encyclopaedia of the Hyborian Kingdoms is due to arrive in your local store this week!

Written by Conan-expert Vincent Darlage, you can expect to see only the finest Hyborian material in this mighty tome, meticulously researched and verified.

This book provides a wealth of detail on the various regions and kingdoms present within the Conan RPG, from Aquilonia to Zingara. Each nation has its own detailed map, and overview of its territories, major geographical features (cool places to visit!), major cities, various provinces, religion, history and adventure/campaign hooks, allowing you to jump straight into the place.

There is far more than that tucked within these covers, however. Take a trip to the Border Kingdom and find details on the Beast-Men, Half-Men of Eridu and the Yemli. Brythunia features the Dire Sword-Toothed Leopard and Stith. Many more goodies like this are tucked away within their respective kingdoms.

As if that were not enough, there is a chapter on Other Peoples of the Hyborian Age, from the Kozaks to the Builders of Green-Stone Cities. Notables of the Hyborian Age will allow you to introduce some of the greatest heroes and villains into your campaigns. These include Conan himself (as both thief and King), Nafertari, Baron Amalric, Valeria and many more, all with some fantastic artwork. There is also a guide on Gamesmastering Conan campaigns, along with three pages of new feats you will find useful when introducing some of the new rules in this supplement.

The Road of Kings is a 192 page full colour hardback priced at $34.95 and will be available in your local games stores and book shops this week.

And yes, Pirate Isles is already at the printers and will be on its way to you soon!

I'm not playing Conan right now but do enjoy the setting and have loved the newly issued trade paperbacks and old comics by Dark Horse with new color and background details.

With that in mind, how useful is this book? Lots of maps? Lots of timelines? Lots of information that a non-gamer (at least currently for Conan) would find useful? The Noctornals M&M book was described as a "Bible" for that series. A similiar vein here?
