Hi guys,
Back from the holidays (what holidays?!?) and it is all steam ahead with the Mongoose. Christmas, as always, causes a backjam at the warehouse but this will be cleared within the next week or two, so if you are waiting for the Quintessential Chaos Mage, or the Slayer's Guide to Elementals, have no fear, they are coming your way soon! For Babylon 5 fans, I am sorry to say that the Centauri Republic Fact Book is still awaiting approval at Warner Brothers, but we hope to hear from them soon. The better news is that Point of No Return is due at our warehouse any day now.
On to January and the New Year then, what can you expect from the Mongoose?
Conan
Well, the biggie is the all new, all dancing Conan RPG. Based on the OGL rules, it is a complete rulebook, and a complete guide to the world of Hyborea and the characters within. Advance copies have already reached the office and it is the sweetest RPG book I have seen for a long, long time. Due in the 3rd week of January, I am told, this is the hot RPG for the beginning of the year. . .
The Quintessential Fighter II: Advanced Tactics
The first in a new stand alone series, Quintessential Fighter II:Advanced Tactics starts where the first run of books left off. In these new books, with a stunning new format, we look at the effects of career paths and multiclassing, legendary fighters and superior tools, magic in combat and more tricks of the trade. There are special techniques to use in battle and advanced survival tactics that will help you get the very best out of your fighter. Never leave home without this book if you are a fan of the sword and shield - this book is designed to open the Fighter class right up and present you with many more 'cool things to do'.
The Book of Adventuring
Think you know it all? Think there is nothing in the next dungeon that you won't be able to overcome? Adrian Bott and Alejandro Melchor have joined forces for this entry to the Classic Play series, giving adventurers all the hints, tips, tricks and advice they need to combat evil and begin raking in the gold.
Ultimate Character Concepts
You are all familiar with the character concept system from the Quintessential series that allows players to use a template on 1st level characters to give flavour to the core classes. Well, in this hardback, we have updated the system, re-jiggled the templates and for the first time, present all the rules in one place. 1st level characters will never be the same again.
The Rookie's Guide to the Undercity
For the ever-popular Judge Dredd RPG, this supplement will take your campaigns underground, to the old American cities that were paved over to lay the foundations of Mega-City One. In the depths of the Undercity, you will find troggies, mutants, weird cults, werewolves - and the Law, justice dispensed by retired judges who have taken the Long Walk.
Stand by for another announcement soon, covering pretty much all our plans for 2004, and a rather special licence deal we have just cracked. . .
