(Mongoose) June & July Releases

MongooseMatt

First Post
Here at Mongoose, we have some great titles lined up for the 2011 convention season!

JUNE
As we gear up for convention season, June is a relatively quiet month for releases, but we have made sure that quality over rules any lack of quantity!

Flashbacks Redux Redux: Following on from our recent Paranoia release that compiled a lot of the classic missions, this hardback will complete the set, giving you every mission that the designers of the game thought you should not miss!

Ant Assault: Our first card game, players take the role of an entire hive of ants. They must send ants out to gather resources and marshall their forces to launch attacks on other hives and 'evolve' their hive, giving them new abilities and advantages. For 2-4 players, Ant Assault if fast and frantic.

Spinward Encounters: A compilation of adventures for Traveller set in the Spinward Marches, most of them centered on the dangerous Amber Zones of the sector.

We are also looking to release the French language version of High Guard, and this is also the projected release date for the 16th Lone Wolf solo gamebook.

JULY
This is where we start to ramp up for the big summer conventions, with a set of juicey releases!

Sword Worlds: As Darrians did for one subsector in the Spinward Marches, so this book will do for another, with the added bonus that there will be character creation details for a very different type of human included. We expect this one to be a popular choice for players!

Alien Module 4 - Zhodani: As mentioned in the last Planet Mongoose post, we have had some delays on the manuscript for this book, but it is shaping up to be a good 'un! Everyone's favourite psionic humans will be making an appearence this summer.

Stornlands: A new 'territory' book for the Lone Wolf Multiplayer Gamebook, this complements the recent Sommerlund release nicely, and has been written by one of Mr Dever's hand-picked proteges under his direction, so expect some serious Magnamund goodness!

The Great Outdoors: Written by Gareth Hanrahan, this is a Paranoia adventure that sends the players into Outdoors Sector. Gareth, Paranoia, Outdoors. You won't want to miss this one.

Burning Desires: A new adventure pack for Earthdawn, you will see full details of this one on our web site next month.

Van Graaf's Journal of Dragons: The first Pathfinder book from Mongoose's own studio, this is a large hardback that will plumb the deepest mysteries of dragonkind, from their lairs and habits, to some very nasty tricks they like to play on adventurers... The start of a new series, we will see Van Graaf exploring other topics throughout the year.

Devil's Dice: Our first ever dice game, for replayability and sheer fiendishness against other players, this game is hard to beat and has proved somewhat addictive to our playtest groups!

Kurgan Fleet Box Set: The first of the new fleets for A Call to Arms: Noble Armada appears, alongside a free article in Signs & Portents covering their background and rules. This will be how we release most fleets and ships for Noble Armada this year, compiling all the rules at the bottom end of 2011 into the first supplement.

Judge Dredd Miniatures Sets: We will also start releasing miniatures for the Judge Dredd game as box sets which will give you value for money as well as a complete force to start playing with immediatly.

Supplement 5 & 6 - The Vehicle Handbook: We have acknowledged that we have not been really happy with the vehicle construction system for Traveller. So, we decided to do something about it. This combined hardback not only features all the vehicles in the original Supplements 5 & 6, but also every vehicle we have ever detailed for Traveller, in all settings, plus a whole load of new ones! These have been married to an all new vehicle design system that is cleaner, faster and way easier to get to grips with. Those of you who have bought the original Supplements 5 and 6 will have a chance to pick up this book at a greatly reduced rate - more news on that later.

Deneb Sector: Finally, we continue fleshing out the Third Imperium, with a brand new sector to explore.
