Hi guys, Another month rolls in and, in the run up to Christmas, that must mean more goodies from the Mongoose! We have had some mails asking us just where the all new Classic Play books are. We have recently changed our entire system of printing and had thought we would be able to get away with the release schedule more or less intact. It kinda worked, but the Classic Plays were caught out right at the end! However, the Book of Strongholds & Dynasties, I am told, has just arrived at our warehouse and the Book of Dragons is just a week behind it - from there, the Classic Play series will be back on schedule. The only other victim to circumstance at this time is the Babylon 5 season three sourcebook, Point of No Return, which is supposed to be due this month. Unfortunately the writer, August Hahn, was quite seriously ill recently which has delayed the work. However, he has soldiered on (and gotten better!) and Point of No Return is now at Warner Brothers for approval - expect it in the first weeks of December. So, what do we have for you this month? Aside from the Book of Strongholds & Dynasties and Book of Dragons; The Mongoose Pocket Player's Handbook - Fed up of carting your hardback to the game every week? Fully compatible with 3.5, this handy pocket-sized handbook contains all the rules you need for your favourite roleplaying game. The Quintessential Human - This is the first sourcebook we have heard of that deals with the most common race in fantasy gaming. Why let the Dwarves and Elves have all the fun - the Quintessential Human is packed with ideas and options to expand your human characters. Book of Encounters & Lairs - following on in the Classic Play series, this 256 page hardback is a Games Masters' best friend. Pages of detailed encounter charts, plus many, many complete lairs, allowing GMs to flesh our encounters on the fly - no longer will you have to say 'well, three orcs come wandering over the hill. . .' Ultimate Monsters - Using the best OGC sources on the market, this is one monster book that cannot be missed. Encyclopaedia Arcane: Abjuration - Magic does not just have to be about fireballs and lightning bolts. Shield yourself with sorcery, using EA Abjuration. Slayer's Guide to Titans - More than just giants, Titans are incredibly powerful beings. This Slayer's Guide takes a detailed look into their culture, abilities and the chances for high level play that will tickle Games Masters pink. Keep on gaming! Oh, and don't forget to check out the front covers of these books on our web site, along with the newly updated release schedule stretching out into 2004!
