[QUOTE="MongooseMatt, post: 4786739, member: 16996"] Three new books are appearing in stores this week from Mongoose Publishing. For Traveller, there is Book 4: Psion and Project Steel, and a brand new horror RPG from Wicked World Games and Flaming Cobra - Noctum. Book 4: Psion Concentrating on Psion characters and psionic powers, this addition to the Traveller range will literally open your mind to new possibilities. Whether you are looking to introduce psionics to the Third Imperium, add new abilities to members of the Psi Corps, or flesh out psion organisations of your own creation, this book has everything you need. Including new talents, equipment and survival techniques, it is the essential companion for every Psion. We made it grow by the strength of our hatred. We let it stay because we can’t change our very natures. Nothing can force humans to commit acts of evil, only endow us with powers to indulge in our own sadistic proclivities. It’s all around us, on every news channel and in every paper. The vile nature of man is evident. Some of us kill our parents and forsake our children, greed is our creed and instant gratification our pastime. There is no God; there is no heaven or hell. There is only the ancient darkness and the evil of man. Hope is fleeting and grace is no longer in our grasp. We gave the darkness a form and a realm of its own. It wishes to feed upon us but now some parts of it want more. Humankind has taught it to relish in the suffering of others in a way only humans can. Enter Noctum, an inner tale of survival horror. There is nothing more evil than your fellow man. Fraught with political compromises and operating on a shoestring budget, the project offers a chance to reduce tensions between the Imperium and the Sword Worlds, perhaps averting future conflict. Arriving on Steel to join the project, a freelance exploration team heads out into the wilderness on what appears to be a simple surveying mission. What they find is a complex situation requiring good judgement in a desperate situation. Their decision will have consequences for the future of the project and everyone on Steel. As civilization begins to flower on Steel, the settlers face a new threat. Brutal raiders are advancing on the half-built starport, apparently determined to destroy the fledgling colony. As the Imperials dig in for a desperate last stand it falls to the travellers to buy enough time for a miracle born of honor and mercy. As the Steel Project recovers from the raider attack, a team of adventurers must cross the mountains to rescue a stranded survey team.
