I've always been a passive visitor of Enworld, but i really wanted to comment this announcement from Mongoose. I've brought a dumped first edition star war d20 rpg and was expecting the d20 quality, but was rather deceived by the quality of the work. Wizards did acklowledge that and decided less than a year later to publish a new version of the book and to re-edit all their books based on those rules. I asked their customer service if they would publish a update : no. I complained and received a pre-written answer saying that "wizards is a company that set standard of quality and they are proud of their products, they are sorry if a customer was deceived" and bla bla bla ; some kind of pre-genated politically correct answer that they give to a type of comment, nothing seemed a bit personnalized. Now, i do see a smaller company with less ressources taking time to participate in threads on fans web sites like this one. And i see that they will give free pdf of the upgrade of their Qfighter book. WOW! This is a company who think long term, who prefer consolidating relation with customer rather than making short term money. While i've boycotted almost all Wizards book (exept MMII), i will definitly look for Mongoose products because i know that if they later improve the quality of their product, i can look forward to benifit from this improvement without having to buy a new book. I really wanted to do this comment in case some company would hesitated between those strategy : it pay when you respect the relation you have with you customers. Thank you.
