Hi guys, The latest incarnation of the Slayer's Guides, featuring the enigmatic Lizardfolk, has stormed its way to your local games stores and book shops. The Physiology chapter looks at the actual nature of this species, their diet, lifecycle and the impact of their cold-blooded nature - rules are provided to simulate cold-blooded creatures in extremes of environment and clever players will be able to utilise this when engaging in their next raid on a lizardfolk nest. This leads on to Habitat, which inspects the areas lizardfolk like to frequent, as well as the basic construction of their nests and what players can expect to find when first encountering these creatures. Lizardfolk Society studies the tribal structure of the species, as well as their relations to other races. Religion is viewed in a relaxed manner by lizardfolk but the spiritual leaders, the druids and shamans, are afforded great respect and have many responsibilities beyond the religious needs of the tribe. A new domain, Reptile, is provided to make encounters with tribes a little more unique than just the latest monster of the week. The role of draconic and body language is also covered, and perceptive players may be able to divine the intentions of encountered lizardfolk before tragedy strikes. Methods of Warfare concentrates on the two primary forms of combat engaged by the lizardfolk - the ambushes players will inevitably have to endure as they wander through lizardfolk territory and the more common raiding and hunting. The types of weapons and armour used by this race are studied, along with their ability to use the very forces of nature against their enemies. Roleplaying With Lizardfolk is a fairly extensive chapter designed to concentrate the minds of GMs and even players who choose to roleplay lizardfolk - what makes them tick, what are they concerned with, how do they think? In addition to this, feats and prestige classes are featured to give lizardfolk an identity all of their own. Feats range from Tail Slap to Razorfang, while the Stillguard and Scaled King prestige classes will ensure that no lizardfolk nest is a push over, even for relatively high level characters. Scenario Hooks and Ideas presents numerous options to introduce lizardfolk into your campaign - by utilising the information in the previous chapters, these ideas concentrate on the unique differences of lizardfolk to ensure the players realise that they have encountered a very special species. This leads on into The Boneyard, a complete tribe and lair for lizardfolk, ready to be dropped into your games at a moment's notice. There is, at the very least, a complete night's worth of gaming here. The book winds up with a Lizardfolk Reference List which enables GMs to populate their lizardfolk encounters quickly and easily. Many different types of lizardfolk are featured, from the Tribal Leader and Stillguard to Tribal Guards and Raptor Riders. The Slayer's Guide to Lizardfolk is priced at $9.95 and is available now from all good games stores and book shops.
