As an avid Mecha gamer (Mekton all versions, Heavy Gear, Jovian Chronicles, even Battletech - cool setting crappy graphic designs) your announcement is a welcome addition to Mecha Crusade, GOO's D20 Mecha and DP9's Mecha Compendium. I'm looking forward to purchasing each product. However I have quite a few questions and comments. In your post you stated that you'll be using as much real-world physics as possible so I'll assume that most advanced KEW's (Kinetic Energy Weapons and DEW's (Directed Energy Weapons)under research/ testing will be available. So I'll ask now which weapons systems will we see: HPM's (High Powered Microwave)? Lasers? Particle Beams (Charged or Neutral, also don't forget that firing a laser ahead of the PB can improve the range and performance of the Particle Beam)? Plasma? Rail/ Coil Guns Electrothermal/ Electrothermal-Chemical? Also how easy will it be use the rules? Will they only require minimum familiarization if you're already familiar with D&D/ D20 Modern? Or do intend major rule additions? Do you envision WarMech as an add-on for D20 Modern or D&D? Will regular guns be deadly to characters (vice Mecha Crusade, where they're intended to make you get in your mech)? Will you apply realistic damage/ ranges for Mech weapons (vice Battletech)? How much will non-mech roleplaying figure into the game (i.e. sneak into an enemy base and blow up the ammo dump type mission or SOF type adventures)? What will be the place of Power Armor in the game? Will you relegate non-Mech units to a secondary role (ala Battletech (where the 'Mech was King of the Battlefield) or will it a more balance game with a Combined Arms concept (closer to Heavy Gear where tanks, infantry, Gears, Striders, Air Support and Artillery all have an important role on the battlefield)? Also I hope your mecha designs have a decidedly anthropomorphic design instead of the "human with guns for arms" design preferred by some systems
