Does it matter? It is GSL...

Besides, Mongoose has horrible copy editors, having had misspelled the Cover title of at least one book. They do have a good creative staff though.

Wouldn't their Adventurer's Equipment Guide directly complete with WotC's Adventurer's Vault?

Seems more like it's mundane [i.e. non-magical] equipment versus magical equipment. Big enough differences where there could viably be two different books.

I got the impression that The Adventurer's Vault was an amalgam of the Arms & Equipment Guide and the The Magic Item Compendium, with the alchemy and intelligent magic item rules thrown in. You may be right, but it seems like overlap to me.

Hrm, if this is true, then I agree, it could overlap, but even if the ideas themselves are overlapping, I'm sure they should cover enough details that the other book doesn't.

I purchased a 3x book that covered all sorts of weapons from all sorts of different cultures. While it simply covers 'weapons' in general, it was still different enough to be worth getting than any other weapons/items books I saw.
