Monk and Stoneskin

KD,

I apologize for the tone I have taken in my replies to you. I was being riled up by a jackass in another thread and it colored my responses. You don't deserve that, even if we disagree on the issue.

You do bring up a good point with the Chained Feeblemind, but I think that is more of an issue with Feeblemind than the Chain spell feat. I seriously think that Feeblemind is overpowered, even as a 5th level spell. I know one guys whos wizard has a 22 Int, Spell focus Enchantment, and Greater Spell Focus Enchantment.

The DC for his Feeblemind spell is 25, or 29 for an arcane caster. One spell that can take almost any spellcaster out permanently, unless they make a very high save. I really dislike that spell.

No problem. You can come clean up my house to make up for it. :)

Well, I do not think it is only the spell per se.

It's the +2 Int for Sun Elves combined with +2 Int for Spell Casting Prodigy combined with +2 for Spell Focus combined with +2 for Greater Spell Focus combined with +6 for Headbands of Intellect, combined with Chain Spell.

There are SO many ways to bump up your DCs once you get out of the core rules that stuff like this is inevitable, even without power gamers. IMO.

Hence, I tend to look at a jaundiced eye towards feats, races, and prestige classes outside of the core rules. It is very easy to get an abusive character, even if you are not trying that hard.

I think that in my home game I will house rule Feeblemind so that it is a Touch spell, not a ranged.

That will prevent it from being Chained, and put it on par with Harm.
