Monster/Magical Aging?

Are there any magical effects or monster attacks that cause aging in 3.5e? I can't think of any, but it would be useful to me in a plot.

Not that I know of. Pretty much all the 1e/2e monsters that I remember used to cause aging now either don't do anything special or deal negative levels instead.

Old Elf

Thanks Eldritch. I wanted an old elf who was friends with an adventure-type 110 years ago. I decided he was about 300 years old then (~45 for a human) and is 410 now (~60 for a human). That seems more or less possible, with the 3.5e assumption that 700 years for an elf = 100 years for a human.

Strangely enough, the Timeless Body class feature makes one immune to magical aging. I, however, am likewise unaware of any effects in 3e/3.5e that actually do this. I made an artifact once that did and I suppose you could allow it with a Wish or Miracle, etc.

Some alternate planes do wonky things with aging; if you have or could see introducing a Plane of Faerie that might work for your plot device.

That, and the various other abilities that mention magical aging, are most likely copy-paste artifacts from the 2e text.
