Classed monsters. Ugh.

I don't agree. However...

I spend enough time doing that myself. If they [WotC] continues this format, that ought to just call the book Elite Opponents Compendium.

I agree 100%. Elite Opponents with maps, prerolled treasures, and other useful information like you'd find in a book of random encounters. Cutting down the preperation time of the GM is awesome. Labelling something the Monster Manual V when it's not following the footsteps of the first three books... not so awesome.

Classed monsters from the various MMs? Alright, but in a book with a title such as "Enemies & Allies" or something like that.

It's a conceptual issue. A monster manual should be about new monsters, not about duplicating the previous MMs, and neither about ready-made NPCs.
