MONSTER MASH!
Hey!
I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for the longest time. I’d like to experiment a bit and see what you get from smashing more than one type of monster together and making something new out of it. It could be just two different monsters mushed into one, or it could be several. You know, maybe it could have:
The Size of a …
The Speed of a …
The Natural Armor of a …
The physical Attacks and Damage of a …
The Special Attacks of a …
The Special Qualities of a …
The Strength of a …
The Dexterity of a …
The Constitution of a …
The Intelligence of a …
The Wisdom of a …
The Charisma of a …
The Alignment of a …
Creature type would be determined based on final results. For Hit Dice, you would either choose a number, or roll a d20 (with possible modifications based on what your creature is made from). Special attacks and qualities would only be used of the randomly rolled monster has any, and maybe you could roll for abilities from more than one creature, mix and match, and such. The creature’s shape and appearance will be an amalgam of the stats and abilities rolled for it. To be creative, certain aspects may of course be changed so the monster can make more sense – but of course, why does a D&D monster have to make sense?
So, to start this off, here is what you will do for me.
I need 100 monsters, so pick up to five and list them. You may post more than once, but to be fair to all you MUST wait until at least two others go before you or I will delete your post! Pick your monsters from MM, MM2, FF, ToH, or the Creature Catalog site. If the creature has more than one possible choice for it, pick a specific one. For example, your 5 choices could be:
Bugbear
Green Dragon, juvenile
Arrowhawk, elder
Dinosaur, triceratops
Cheetah
So, go to it.
When we have 100, I will start another thread to set up how this will work.
