Monster Template Question...

I just had a quick question about a feature of monster templates.. In a campaign that has yet to start, i am going to be playing a half-fiend githzerai. Now here's my question, since Githzerai and the half-fiend template both have different spell resistances listed, which should i use? or should i just add them together?

I think you just use the best value. With your low HD because of all the templates, though, youre SR is going to suck mightily.

actually, it wont be that bad.. my dm has decided that we are going to use the gestalt class option in UA

In this case, you'll use the half-fiend's SR: 10 + HD.

When applying templates, the only time an ability adds if it uses that language. Look at the following examples:

1. "The creature's natural armor increases by +2." This indicates that the template adds +2 to the creature's existing natural armor. If the creature has no natural armor, it will end up with natural armor 2.

2. "The creature gains natural armor 2." This indicates that the creature gains natural armor 2. If it already has natural armor, it only ends up with whichever score is better.
