Monsters by XP spreadsheet

So the way the new encounter creation system is designed, one effectively 'buys' monsters based on a 'budget' of total XP. Sounds decent enough, makes more sense than the ECL system.
However, the MM only has a list of monsters by level, not by XP. So one has to flip to the page of a given monster to see how much XP it costs, which will end up being extremely annoying.
But fear not! I, in my grand nerdiness, have created an Excel spreadsheet of monsters by name, level, role, and XP. Should make designing encounters a easier.
Enjoy, and spread around!

I've got a similar spreadsheet I created -- no XP values, since XP is completely dependent upon level and Minion/Standard/Elite/Solo status -- which also has keyword and MM page number data.

I've also got an encounter calculator in the works, and I'll post them both as soon as I'm able.

Wait, what? No, the entire point is that X monster has Y xp value. Its xp value is determined by its level and role, true, but the xp value is not malleable.
Is that what you meant? Either way, I'm curious to see your stuff too.

Unless I've completely missed the boat, monsters of a given value and "status" (for lack of a better term; I mean Minion/Standard/Elite/Solo) all share the exact same XP value. See DMG p. 56.

I'll post my spreadsheet sometime tonight.

Hmm. Maybe that's WoTC's fault for being a little ambigious, but on said page, the formula for determining the 'budget' is given as Multiply the number of characters in the party by the XP value of a monster of the encounter’s level.'
What they -mean- to say, and fail to specify, is a standard monster of the encounter's level.
That in combination with page 57's 'Target Encounter XP Totals' and the sample encounters in the MM make that much clear, as a level 1 encounter for 4 PCs, for example, should equal 400 XP. This is clearly derived from 4 x 100 (XP for a lvl 1 'standard' monster).
One could, however, spend that however one chooses. Sixteen 25-xp minions, two 'standards' and an elite, and so on.
Not a bad way to go, really. Like I said, makes a whole lot more sense than ECL, they should've just included the XP cost in the useless monster-by-level chart in the back of the MM.
