Which monstrous races would live in or visit Sigil and why? Aside from the PHB races, and the “Planescape” races (aasimar, bariaur, genasi, githzerai, planar races, and tieflings) what specific monsters would most likely be found in Sigil? Which ward(s) would live in or visit? Criteria: I think that Sigil would be populated by humanoids, mostly medium or large size--none too big to fit comfortably in the city. Fairly intelligent. If they’re common, they probably have an interest in what Sigil has to offer: portals, philosophy, and/or interplanetary commerce. Here are my thoughts so far: Good Guys 1. Angels – An astral deva, maybe. Uncommon at best. Lady’s Ward. 2. Archons – Maybe a lowly Lantern Archon or three. Lady’s Ward. 3. Eladrin – A ghaele or a coure. Lady’s Ward, Market. 4. Guardinals – Some mustevals, and ursinals. Clerk’s to Market. 5. Cambions - No doubt hiding from their masters. (okay, but why are they good guys? ;) ) Misunderstood Types 6. Demons – Rare to uncommon for most. Most commonly seen: Quasits, Succubi, a Lillitu on vacation. Lower Ward, Hive. 7. Devils – Rare to uncommon. The occasional Bone Devil, Erinyes, Imps, and some abishai for Torment’s sake. Hive, Lower Ward. 8. Yugoloth – None that you would notice. Others 9. Fey – Some “urban” fey. What are those and where can I find them? 10. Genies - Some Jann, an Efreet visiting. 11. Githyanki - A few, just to annoy the githzerai. :D 12. Lillendi – Some at the communal art enclave in Market Ward. 13. Mercane – Common, but few in number. Market/Guildhall. 14. Night Hags – Gotta have a few, doing business in the Lower Ward and Hive. 15. Rilmani – Rarely, probably on a specific errand. Eberron Races (changelings, shifters, warforged) : 16. All - Uncommon but you could probably find a couple around the Great Bazaar. Planar Handbook (buomman, mephlings, neraphim, shadowswyfts): 17. The only one of these to strike my fancy are the mephlings. I’ll have a couple of those sprinkled around. --- All [S]arguments[/S] pointed discussions are welcome. P.S. I’m sure I’ve left several worthy races out, most notably the rogue modron. Please remind me of whom I’ve forgotten.
