Monte Cook Interview, Nov. 26 (post your questions)

Harlock

First Post
Monte Cook has graciously accepted an invitation to be the next guest in EN World's IRC channel chat which picks back up Wednesday, November 26th at 7:00 pm Central Standard time. Monte has said he will talk about upcoming products and even about some as yet unannounced projects for 2004. Also, he will be fielding questions from the audience. That's where you come in. In this thread, please go ahead and start posting questions for Monte and we'll try and get them asked during the interview. Depending on how many we get, we may not be able to get to them all, so please don't be too upset if your question isn't used. We'll certainly try and get as many asked as we can. Thanks for your help!

Now for the details of the chat itself. You can get to the EN World chat channel using java and the web via this link. Or, if you have an IRC client installed already, point it to server: chat.psionics.net channel #dnd3e on ports 6660-6667 or so. We look forward to seeing you there.

Oh, and would a mod mind giving this a sticky? I know thatdarncat had them stickied in the past, but I'm just the new interview guy so I thought I better ask. ;)

how important a role do you think fantastic architecture plays in the fantasy genre? what, if any, real world architecture have you used for inspiration?

How do you think turn based rules could be better applied to chases?

What mass combat rules would you recommend, or do you have something special that you use for your campaign?

Are there rules of thumb you follow IYC (in your campaign) when having PCs as rulers of a kingdom, i.e. how much taxes to collect, what it costs to maintain infrastructure, supply and train an army, etc.?

With the revision of the Book of Eldrich Might coming out in early 04', do you feel that a revised and expanded Book of Hollow Might in hardcover format might be better received as opposed to doing more smaller books?

What is the greatest change you've seen in the d20 market?

Will we see more adventures from the house of Malhavok or the current two revised perhaps for 3.5 or AU?

What makes you interested in a product? For example, we've never see a races book or a pure class book from Malhavok Press.

Will we be seeing any more fiction from you Monte?

When will we see the Ptolus city campaign? Bluffside has gone digital, Windhaven never emerged and while Freeport remains a great mainstream, we need more detailed, unique cities.

You've recently made mention of other companies products. DOes this mean we'll see more colaborative work between Malhavok and other companies perhaps in the OGL interlink vein?

What games are you currently running/and or playing?

Which RPGs do wish you had time to run or play?

What gaming-related stuff is on you Santa list?

With regards to the Arcana Unearthed core book and from your personal game design POV, what do you most like about it, and what do you least like?
