Monte cook's Years best d20 #2??

Hey guys last year Monte did a "The year's best d20 volume 1", I have not seen if there is another one yet or if he is planing on do a nother one.... has anyone heared anything on he next one?

I wish he would, but I don't think there's one planned. Shame, as I really liked the first one.

It's too bad to hear that, since I think the first one was a great book too. I guess it's not surprising considering Monte's announcement that he's changing his focus from RPG products.

I'd be interested to see if another company steps in with a product like this. Just not sure if the same book *without* the Monte Cook name would get as much attention.
 


I'm not sure if it would be much use to me, as I might very well have most - if not all - of the sourcebooks the material would likely be derived from. I do try to pick up the "best" d20 books, when possible. . . with some notable exceptions.

Still, for all the people not going crazy with the d20/OGL purchasing nowadays, the idea has merit.
 




I wonder if he's not doing a second volume because:

a. It didn't sell well enough to be profitable
b. He's no longer doing D&D stuff anymore
c. Since a lot of 3rd parties are no longer doing D20 the book would either be too small or the material not good enough
d. Some other reason
