Monte, what's up with the word "fane"?

I went to my local WotC store the other day, and I saw it again.
The word "Fane" in ANOTHER product Monte Cook wrote.
What's the dealy-yo, Monte? I haven't seen a single
publication of yours that did not contain this word! Fane
isn't exactly a common word... So 'fess up.

Well, there's just two, I think. Hmm. No, three. Demon God's Fane, Return to the Temple and Guide to the Astral (if memory serves).

Anyway, it's a cool word, and I learned it from Gary, reading Vault of the Drow.

Demon God's Fane....

Hmmm, sounds like just two there Monte (or does the title of Demon God's Fane not count?):D

FANE:

1) A temple; a place consecrated to religion; a church.

2) A weathercock.

It is left as an exercise for the reader to determine which is the intended meaning. ;)
