My wife sometimes likes to have some music playing during romantic moments. (Although she likes this, we rarely actually stop in a moment to turn music on once events start to unfold.) Several days ago I made a quick playlist on my phone for some mood music -- about 15 or so songs. Then the other night, after the kids were in bed, I turned on the playlist. Things progressed. Afterward, my wife picked up my phone and started looking at the playlist. I asked if she wanted something added to the selections. She said, "I'm just looking to see what you have in this list." I pointed out that she had just been listening to the whole list over the past hour or so. It had probably even started repeating. "So you've heard everything there." "Oh," she said, "I don't remembering hearing any of it." I didn't hear any of it, either. I couldn't have said what song had played before the current one. I think I remember the song that started the evening, but between that first and this last, no memory of any of it. This situation prompted us to talk about mood music, and we realized that actually we've never really noticed the music playing the background. So this brings up the question: Why bother with music during romantic moments. (And by "romantic," I'm meaning "sex.") Maybe it helps set a mood before the mood arrives, but once "in the zone," I and she kind of tune out everything. Do you and/or your significant other like mood music for "romantic moments"? Do you actually hear it? And what is your favorite sexy music? I like R&B, my wife likes classic easy listening love songs. They're not too dissimilar, so they can mix well. I include both in our lovin' tunes playlist. But what if you and your SO have very different tastes in sexy music? How do you handle it? (Way back in my single days, I dated a girl who liked hard rock/metal. That was an interesting mood setter.) Bullgrit
