There's a fine line between being a reviewer and a Critic, GameWyrd has mastered this line. I'm afraid you have yet to do the same Krug. FYI, the Blade Singer and the Sword Singer are not the same. And you never mentioned the art in the product at all. I have to thank GameWyrd for his review, but as everyone in our gaming circle agrees. They believe Krug's review to be a little too critical. And not just people inside the circle, but a great many who are not rp'ers who've seen it. In this world, one man might like pork, one might like cheese. In the end it's a matter of opinion. It seems that GameWyrd likes the detailed descriptions and flavour text for the Magical Items. Which would you prefer, vanilla text or text with a little feeling. DarkQuest products should be about detail, we never set out to produce anything that wasn't well detailed. The core writer for Moon Elves did a hard and fascinating job on the book. Since she was not a fan of elves or a hardcore elf writer (Her love is Sci Fi/Modern). We put her under a lot of pressure to do the job she did, and Kat did a wonderful job IMHO. I have to ask Krug if he's ever tried anything like this, and he's welcome to submit some work to DarkQuest if he likes, we'd he happy to see if /he/ could do any better? So for my final comment, I don't mind critique of a product but I do also require that the reviewer actually -review- the product, and not label it for just hardcore elf lovers in a critical manner. I'm a professional reviewer and I've seen a lot of the same across the web/books/magazines - though my field is in PC games and Console games mostly. Yet every time I do a review - I get 50/50 in our comments page, most of them are from people I've offended with an offhand comment, so I try not to generalise anymore or pick something apart too badly. I always balance out the good with the bad, if it can be done. But as far as I'm concerned with the price of the Moon Elves, it's certainly not average in any way or means. Perhaps some people just like orcs?
