MooOOm, Coach is licking me again!

I can imagine how this could've gone down without being incredibly creepy.

Coach is whipping players into a frenzy, doing the I'm Crazy And You Should Be Too schtick as a way of getting them excited. He says something like, "So you get hurt out there? Don't be a baby: lick your wounds and get back on the field! Hell, *I'll* lick your wounds for you, just keep playing!" and licks a player's skinned knee for a laugh, and continues with the speech.

Naturally I don't know if that's what happened, but the fact that the lickee doesn't seem to have minded suggests that it was more like that and less like, "Come into my office, little boy, and let me comfort you with my tongue."
