I just picked up Mordenkainen's Sword after finally gaining access to 7th level spells.
The spell seems pretty straightforward, does Force damage, requires an Attack roll, but something bugged me.
What happens if the defender is invisible or is surrounded by Mirror Images?
Nothing in the spell description suggests that the sword hits the target creature unerringly, despite miss chances provided through concealment or Mirror Images, and after the first round it continues attacking on its own.
My wizard usually goes around with See Invisibilty active. If my character had True Seeing Mirror Images would have no effect whatsoever, so I reasoned that in combination with those two spells I wouldn't have any problem with any miss chance, but I am not so sure now.
Does the sword see what I see?
