Verrazzio 6 "Very good. Then we go." Verrazzio stands up, gathers his things, and heads for the door, beckoning for the others to follow. As they leave the inn, he issues directions politely, but firmly. "Bella donna, you and the padrone need to find us two inns or taverns or gaming clubs: some places where people can sit and watch the street for a few hours. One of those places needs to let us watch the main entrance to our friend's favorite brothel and the other needs to let us see down the length of that alley. Reserve tables or rooms if you have to." He plucks the pouch back out of his belt, splits it in half by feel, and gives Autumn half. "Spend it if you need it. I give you a kiss for luck, eh?" Verrazzio leans over and kisses Autumn on each cheek. As he does so he whispers in her ear. "Don't let Sintius out of your sight." "Fid and I, we meet you at the south end of the alley in two hours to make plans, yes?" Turning back to Fid, he continues on. "And now you and I look at the beds on the Street of Flowers, yes?" Turning, Verrazzio sets off for the ambush alley at a quick walk. He does not approach it directly, but takes a route that winds back and forth along the last few blocks. He wants to find two inconspicuous routes out of the Flowers districts from each end of the ambush site. Once he arrives at the alley, he walks down it, looking for large obstructions that could serve as cover or hiding places for rogues or old doorways off the alley. He takes a moment to retie his boots, checking as he does to make sure the alley is not so wet alchemists fire won't work. He looks at the sides of the buildings to see what they're made of: will it burn? Finally, he looks to see if there are torches or streetlamps around. Stretching himself to work the kinks out of his muscles, he looks at Fid. "Fid, which one of these buildings is the best place for you and T'kran to hide on. Can you operate to full effect on the roof, or do you need to work from a window?"
