Mordie's Really Big Big House... what happens?

Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion... what happens to people/items that are still inside when the duration ends?

My DM says people are dropped out, but unattended objects are lost forever. This doesn't seem to make logical sense to me that the cases should be different. The occasion has not come up yet, but it probably will (I have to take off my armor to go to sleep, etc.).

The spell listing says nothing on the matter. Any thoughts?

As you say, the wording of the spell doesn't address this. But as a DM, I'd rule that everything that went in comes out. Otherwise, it leads to bizarre situations where cities are contracting wizards to produce Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansions for waste disposal.

That's where you'll want to look if you loose something this way, assuming the DM allows it...

(for garbage disposal, a perminent gate to the negetive energy plane will typicaly be better, anyway )

old Dust quasi-elemental plane is a good place for garbage too
