Also, the ideas behind proficiency styles introduced in the Complete Fighters Handbook in 2E (the precursor to 3E feats) were well-received by every AD&D gamer I ever gamed with. It would be a shame to retreat to the good old days of fighters having no weapon specialization nor any tricks they can perform with their weapons, other than just whacking away at the enemy for dice + str bonus damage.</p></blockquote><p></p>
