With the race of Drow effectivly reduced to a handful and souls of all other Drow permantenly destoryed on the spirtual plane by the other elvish gods, it became neccisary to gather the spirits of recently deceased Drow so they can be cloned, raised, etc. because every single Drow is valuable breeding stock. The instrument for doing this is the Demonweb Pits. All souls of Drow killed in the underdark are caught in them instead of going to the normal spirtual plane.My request is for some ideas of what the Demonweb pits actually are and possible other functions. Pits, filled with webs, seems the trivial answer but really doesn't invoke any sort of stunning visual image. They should be large, possibly a good portion of the main Drow city where Lolth resides. Other than that, anybody have any good and creepy ideas I can steal?</blockquote>
