More Praise for THE GAMER'S BAG

Vrylakos

First Post
Ok, as a special present to commemorate my campaign's second year, I wanted to get all the long-term players dice bags.

This is my dice bag saga, bear with me and see what I got.

I wanted them in specific colors to go with the personalities of the characters.

I wanted a certain symbol to be on the bags, the Ring of the Draconic Order - a ring that all the players have to mark them as servants of a higher power.

I wanted the initials of their characters to be on the bag, so they'd know that R.S. stands for Raven Silvereel, and remember our many nights of gaming in years to come.

So, I browsed the Gamer's Bag, found the elements series to be just what I wanted, and ordered four Royal Deluxes ( a BIG dice bag and a tiny one). The Royals are BIG - dice collection sized bags, while the tiny can hold a single set of dice. Each large bag and small bag was a different color - they weren't a matching set.

I wrote Paladin, and explained what I needed. He said he could do it, and get it to me VERY quickly. He just needed an image for the embroidered dragon-biting-its-tail ring. He sent me various images in email, to see if it was close to my vision. I found an image online from a jewelry store, a talisman, but it had a necklace loop. No problem, Steve tells me. He can edit that out.

Every step of the process, Paladin (Steve) is there with email. I get responses on any queries I have VERY quickly, quite often within minutes.

He sends me two test stitch-outs of the dragon ring in gold and gold and green. One of them gives me an idea on how to improve the design slightly, and I ask if he can do it. The dragon ring gets outlined in black, and the scales are made copper and gold, with red eyes. He sends me an image of the final dragon-ring, and it looks sweet.

What color drawstrings do I want? I tell him.
What gender are my players he asks? Why is that important? Well, they have different beads for the drawstrings - and now the player of Raven Silvereel has groovy silver roses on her bags. All part of the Royal Deluxe! The menfolk have cool arcane looking rune-type beads in silver... Very cool!

I asked him about other options. He sent me the list, and I added two pen loops to each Royalbag. I was tempted to get a spiked leather bag, but that can wait for later.

So, I got my bags in the mail yesterday. They are incredible! The stitch work is great, the initials in big golden fancy fontwork look great!

The crazy thing is, I want to order more! It's like making a character - so many choices, options, and cool things to choose from!

Now I want a leather one with the spikes and chainmail options, and some of the 'polished gem' material. That will have to wait until spring...

My personal "DM" bag (my initials are DM, heh) is in the Chaos element material. The Tiny bag that comes with the Royal Deluxe I ordered in Large Blue Dragon scale, and it looks so cool I want a bigger bag of that same material.

Steve and Brandie (hope I spelled that right) are good people. If gaming stores offered the same level of customer service as Paladin & his Swashbaggler, I swear more people would be gaming.

I hope I've gotten across how GOOD and enjoyable my experience was with The Gamer's Bag. I encourage anyone who wants something more than a run of the mill bag to check them out. You will be the envy of the gamers at your table, trust me. I've already gotten compliments and amazed looks from people at the local gamestore.

Later, I'll post the close up of the stitching on my bag.

THANK YOU, Paladin and Paladinwife!

You are most welcome Vrylakos, you were most enjoyable to work with yourself. :) We hope your players like the bags as much as you do, I'm sure they will. Brandi and I very much appreciate the praise, and look forward to helping you with your next order. Spiked leather...that would make a good d20 Modern accessory... :D

Question for you guys:

Do you have a place I can come to order bags directly? I live in Garland and I understand that you guys are in the DFW area. If so, where could I link up with you guys to order some bags? I am looking to get some for my players.

Thanks,

TLG

You can order directly from us at our website: www.thegamersbag.com. We don't have a store front, as we operate out of our house. But, we wouldn't be opposed to visitors if you'd like to drop by. Just let us know when you're coming so we can clean the house. :D E-mail me at dommer@prodigy.net with any questions.
