More questions on Warforged and Alter Self

Voodoo

First Post
A Warforged with the Adamntine Body feat drinks a potion of Alter self, and changes in to an animated object, say a wooden table. Is his Adamantine Body feat suppressed or just hidden?

Likewise a standard Warforged drinks a potion of Alter Self and assumes the animated object form of an adamantine statue. Does he gain the hardness of the Animated Object?

As far as I can tell, the rules would go with the first warforged adamantine body is only hidden, but still effectivly active, and the second warforged does not gain the hardness associated with object he becomes. This does seem to go againt common sense but does maintain game balance.

The phrase "You acquire the physical qualities of the new form..." though makes it all very unclear.

Straight by the RAW, no in both cases. The adamantine body (or any other plating) is considered to be worn Armor, which cannot be worn by the new forms and so remains inoperative (see spell description).
