Okay, I have asked for some aid on scrolls before, and I have most of the answers, but I would like it if someone could confirm my math for a moment. The way I see it, as a first level artificer/wizard (gestalt character) with the magical artisan feat - scrolls (from the forgotten realms player's handbook) and the Legendary Artisan feat (from the Eberron player's handbook) I would be paying: 9.375 gold and .42 XP for a first level scroll and 56.25 gold and 2.53125 XP for a second level scroll Right? For those not in the know, the Magical artisan feat reduces the base cost of the item you choose to create by 75% and the Legendary Artisan feat reduces the base cost by a further 25%. Let's no get into a debate about a DM who allows feats from two different worlds, it is done and over, let's just try and see if I have the understanding of the math. The second level one was easier to figure out so let's start there. Formula for creating scrolls 12.5 x 25 x level of spell x level of caster that gives you a total of 75 total for gold to create a secod level scroll. Now, with the Magical Artisan feat multiply that by 75%, or subtract 25%, and you get 56.25gold for a second level scroll, right? Okay, now for XP, I always was making a mistake of taking the halved number, in this case 56.25, as the base price, but I guess the real base price is 150 gold for a second level spell as per page 287 of the DMG. So, with the magical Artisan feat you reduce this number by 25% and then a further 25% for Legendary Artisan and then paying 1/25th of that giving me a total of 2.53125 XP, right? Note, if you look below, what I actually did was take 6, which is 1/25th of 150, then reduced that by 25% and then again by 25%, which should be the same number. So, does that sound correct to you guys? Now, if I am right, and I think I am, what happens when I add in the Extraordinary Artisan feat? 7.03125 gold and .315 XP for a first level scroll and 42.1875 gold and 1.8984375 XP for a second level scroll? Right? 1st lvl scroll: 25/18.75 (base cost at minimum caster level ) - 12.5/9.375gp, 0.5625exp 2.34 .42 2nd lvl scroll: 150/112.5 (base cost at minimum caster level - 75/56.25 (normally) 56.25gp, 6 xp regular 4.5 XP (base)3.375exp -25% - 2.53125
